Veloce was definitely an incredibly stunning dragon to look at. Her kindness and patience was known throughout the clan and praised almost as much as her magical skills were. Unfortunately, she developed an odd habit of covering up her face with a cloak. Eventually, rumors and whispers started spreading.

Had she been in an accident? Maybe she feared judgement from her fellow clanmates should she reveal a horrible scar. But no. That couldn't be it. Someone had seen her face just the other day. It was just as soft and kind as before.

Was she hiding something? Eyes were the windows to the soul after all. However, when nothing happened for months about months, this idea was scrapped as well.

Did she suddenly become shy and unable to look others in the face? No. She still made sure to make time everyday just to visit with the dragons around the clan.

The answer was really far more simple than that. Long exposure to certain arcane magic had made her eyes sensitive to light. The cloak simply helped her cope. There was no malicious intent or change in character; just a case of dragons overthinking things a bit.

Although Veloce had to admit, she did enjoy listening to the wild ideas just the smallest bit. She'd let them keep guessing a while longer.

She loves practicing arcane magic and is known throughout the land to be the greatest forsee-er. She took Hanga under her wings and is currently training her to be her apprentice.
