Anaster

Anaster grew up in a big family, she had many brothers and sisters who constantly fought for there parents attention. Anaster hated fighting, she enjoyed her piece and quite.


One day, her mother noticed her sitting alone in her room. She hated to see her sweet alone, so she asked her to go out and play with her siblings.


Anaster looked up at her mother and replied, "But I'm much more happy in my room. I like the quiet." She would smile softly up at her mother as she finished, "I feel content when I'm alone in the quiet."


"Alright dear. Please try not to stay cooped up all day. Do try to go outside and get some fresh air."


Anaster sat there, thinking about what her mother had told her. "Maybe going out won't be too terrible." She said aloud, more to herself than to anyone in particular, as she got up and ventured outdoors.


She sat on a swing beside the pond when she heard a strange noise coming from behind a bush close by. She climbed off the swing, creeping close to the bush, the sound was much louder now,she had never heard a noise like this.


Anaster held up her hand and pushed some of the branches out of the way and there laid a cat,she looked like she was in pain, so Anaster gently took the cat and scurried back into her home.


Once she was inside, she shouted for her mother.


"Anaster,darling what's wrong?!" She could hear her mother stumbling as she tried to rush to her. Once she stood in front of Anaster, she took notice of the feline in her daughters arms and sighed in relief, taking the small animal from her and carring her into the next room, leaving Anaster behind.


As she sat by the door her mother was currently in, she was anxious.


Minutes that seem like hours go by, Anaster's mother finally opened the door, earning and surprised jump and gasp from Anaster.


"Is everything okay, mother?, is she ok?"


"Silly girl" Her mother smiles down at her, "come, I have something to show you."


As Anaster walks through The door, she sees a small box laying on the ground. Her mother pushes the blankets aside, exposing four small mewling kittens.


Glancing up, her mother could see the excitement clearly plastered on Anaster's face as she asked. "Can we please keep them, I can take care of them! I promise!"


"Yes honey you can keep them, I believe you saved their lives."

From that day on Anaster was the happiest little girl her mother had ever seen!
