+ The sea. When the world was new, a single egg, sparking with energy, electricity, tumbled from its nest, rolling until finally it splashed into the warm, silver waters of a roiling and tempestuous sea. Lightning sparked and arced from the little egg, bolts of energy dancing across the water as the egg cracked and fractured in the tumble of the waves.

A tiny hatchling, eyes and wings as blue-green as the lightning that crackled along the surface of her skin, struggles in the waves. Tenacious even now, too stubborn to submit to the water.

Perhaps it was Stormcatcher himself who scooped the fledgling from the murderous waters that birthed her, perhaps it is his touch that gave her her form, so like his, all ridges and spines and hard, powerful muscle. She does not remember what came before, only after: reaching the calm, fresh waters of the Sea of a Thousand currents, finding friends there. There were not so many dragons then,and her clan was ancient, headed by vast imperials - among the only dragons to challenge her for size.

She even found a mate, her lover as fierce and spine-covered as she.

But she has ever had a wanderer's heart, a raider's spirit.

The bitter cold reaches of the southern oceans called to her. The only sea she had never swum, never hunted upon. In her heart of hearts, she knew. She would never know peace until she had conquered this sea, too.


Notes: Older than time, she was born in a thunderstorm.
Severe and unforgiving as Stormcatcher himself, she rarely fights in Khaegris' minor skirmishes, bothering herself only with the grave matters of clan security and stockpiles.
