Once proud elemental mages, Shou and Edgar, once studied under Ferid before he left the Sunbeam Ruins. However, one day the best friends delving into darker arts of magic and ruins backfired horribly in a literal sense of the word. Fire erupted and in a moments panic, Shou's wind magic kicked in and the fires engulfed the duo. In a second moment of panic, Edgar sealed them both in ice. Scarred and embarrassed, the duo suppressed their magic for fear of causing more damage to themselves or the dragons around them. They find themselves in the company of the Knightshade Clan, seeking out their mentor whom first taught them how to harness their magic, it is believed their intention is to relearn how to control their power.
