While Lacewing is still officially the Clan leader though he is rarely seen as he spends most of his time on his "work" in the deep underground caverns of the Clan's current dwelling. He leaves his Daughter Fay to handle the mundane stuff only handling serious issues himself in most cases. On occasion you may see him out side of his personal lair when he is spending time with his current mate, Rossetta, and his still clan-bound children, Meeting with his Inner circle, or patrolling the borders of the clan's territory for disturbances.

Most of the younger dragons see him as just a grumpy old workaholic dragon and most of the clan are unaware of what his "work" actually is though there have been several wild rumors as to what he does circulating around the clan in the past. Only the Inner Circle knows about his dealings in necromancy and they keep their lips sealed knowing that his experiments are for the good of the clan though some of them are wondering if the deeds he's done through his magic are starting to drive him mad. Lacewing is really bitter and jaded with how his life has turned out. He does genuinely care about the well being of his clan but feels like he's lost the ability to connect to the newer members though there has been a few exceptions like Vilequill and Rossetta. He thinks the only good he can do for his clan now is to continue to protect them with his magic even though most would find what he does as grotesque and vile.
