Muse was always gentle, always forgiving. With a bard for a mother it wasn't a surprise that Muse was enchanted by any type of music. She was friends with HalfMoon, the singer of her mother's tribe. Muse didn't feel at all resentful towards her father, a traveling dragon touched by taint, now serving the Stormcatcher. She always tried to cool her brother's temper and comfort him whenever necessary. But now, she is in a different clan. A different home. So many new places to explore. So many new songs to sing.

My name is Muse. My first clear memory is waking up in a Wind flight den.
Aranthine, my adopted dad's face hovering over me. Behind him was his own mother, Era, and next to her, Aranthine's grandmother, Dew. Before that is a jumble of wind, heat, cold, complicated smells, and darkness.
Dad tells me that he had been at the borders of our home territory when found me. He won't be very clear, but I know the main reason he adopted me is because I looked like his sister, Muse. Grandmother says that like me, Muse liked to sing and she was very nice.

Muse doesn't remember who her parents were, where she was born, and why she was found, unconscious, at the borders of a Wind territory. Her adoptive father, Aranthine, doesn't have a clue either. Aranthine and his family believes that Muse is a reincarnation of Aranthine's sister, Muse, who had gone to serve the deity Plaguebringer. Muse believes that she was sent by Muse to help her father through difficult times.
Muse is a singer, much like Aranthine's sister and her grandmother, who is a bard. She is benevolent and cheery, though a bit on the boisterous side. Aranthine had been through hard episodes in his life. His father was a traveling dragon sick with taint, who had now gone to serve the mighty Stormcatcher. His other sister, Akaal had gone off to another lair, and he hadn't heard word from her in a long while. Aeona, another sister, had been depressed ever since their father had exalted himself. She had been exiled permanently after killing a Skydancer by the name of Nilamegh. Muse knew she couldn't do anything to cover the wounds of Aranthine's childhood, but she would try her best to heal him.
