One of the oldest pairs to live under the banner of the Wild Path, Mabon and Moraine are famous for their friendly demeanor, hospitality, and energetic attitudes “despite their age!” The two are inseparable, never once going too far from the other, and are both dedicated travelers. While Mabon’s claws carry the compass and Moraine the ink and quill, the two travel to the ends of Sornieth to write maps and document landscapes, all of which are stored in the Wild Path’s vaults and library. The pair have had many, many children in their lives, and their family does not stop there. Children of these explorers are raised with smiling faces and wide, curious eyes. Should they ever take after their father, their wings and eyes will naturally be attuned to the natural directions of the world, never to lose their way. Others may respect the feel of the quill between their claws, and become master cartographers, writers, and whatever their lives want to go! Life is an exploration never to be stopped, always to be enjoyed.

Coming from a background of wholesome family dynamics and inherit desires to explore, it’s little wonder how Salome found herself settling in a place as diverse as Thorim Rift. It’s impressive, and growing library, and her friendship with the owner, grants her access to documents or tomes that might otherwise never been considered for the library shelves. But any decent library ought to have maps and histories, geology information both local and abroad, just in case. Especially in her case.

Instilled with a quiet passion for learning, Salome seizes opportunities to explore, to expand her knowledge of the known world and all the wonders it provides. Some might consider her homely in appearance and actions, but the steadiness of Earth resides deep within her bones, and her pursuit of adventure and understanding outweighs her need to appear presentable and acceptable to others. Particularly with her habit of digging, rooting for gemstones or other precious items that the earth cradles.
