It's a long name. Dagger liked it. Rosebelly allowed it if he promised to stop trying to sell things to any hatchling not yet fully grown because that's creepy.

While everyone was a bit wary of zir at first, it soon became apparent that zie has taken most of zir traits from zir mother - to everyone in the clan's great relief. It is bad enough to have to be worried about accidentally trading away yours soul to ONE ridgeback.
D.D. does have zir borrowing tendencies, but seems genuinely sorry about it. Zie just happens to pick up anything with a texture zie likes and taking it with zir, and it eventually ends up in a neat pile in zir cave, without zir really meaning to take it. If you're missing a smooth stone or piece of fabric, check in D.D's lair.
Zie is a little distant, like zie is not really in this world at all times. Zie has a hard time understanding concepts of time and keeping track of conversations, but still enjoys lounging around in the shared spaces, chatting idly with people there, or, if zie's alone, chatting with someone other people can't see.
