Garnet

Cassiopeia and Garnet are long time residents of the clan resort. They consider themselves traditional coatls, worshiping the Flamecaller and only nest when traveling to her lands. Despite this they are well liked by the members of this water clan.

Garnet is as playful and eager to please as the sweetest hainu pup. Whenever he's not cleaning around the lair as is his duty he can be found entertaining the hatchlings and sneaking treats from the kitchens, for both them and himself.




The star Mu Cephei is commonly known as Herschel’s Garnet Star, because when astronomer William Herschel described it, he wrote that it was “a very fine deep garnet colour”. Indeed it is, being a red supergiant that is one of the largest in the Milky Way. It’s in the constellation Cepheus, husband of Cassiopeia. The colour garnet is named for the red gemstone; its name is said to be derived from the (also red) pomegranate fruit.
