The clan's prophet. He uses the pearl in his hind claw as a focus for his vision. His most famous prophecy foretold the coming of Azrael, his descendant who is Mort incarnate.

Alariel swept into the clan with an air of importance. He's never gotten along with any of the other residents, and hasn't been able to hold down a steady relationship with a mate, preferring to jump from partner to partner (at least according to him--others complain about his arrogance). Most of his time is spent in his own den. Alariel excels in his job as an artist, and despite his lack of friendship with other dragons, many seek him out to receive one of his elaborate tattoos. A peculiar magic surrounds these markings, giving them the ability to pass from parent to child.
