Aventurine

When this Ridgeback was brought to the clan, she was bought as part of a clan buy-and-swap - one of Heliopa's favorite methods of trading dragons. She was bought along a Nocturne who was later named Ignisdei, and this male would later become her mate. Her first entrance was warm and well-received as Electra had been clamoring for a companion of the same species for some time. She got her wish. Aventurine was happy to play and grow alongside the striking older ridgeback, and though not officially her apprentice, Electra served as a wonderful stand-in sister for the new Ridgeback to learn from. Aventurine now is used as a border guard, though occasionally she dabbles in preparing more adventurous food for the clan to try.

Aventurine is known exclusively for her adventurous spirit. This features as her prominent trait, where the female is constantly clamoring for a chance to prove herself or chase the sun across the sky. She is also very hospitable. Often, on especially cold nights, her den is the place to find huddles of dragons all curled around her. She is never one to turn someone away when she could offer them a place to stay or rest for a bit - which kind of eliminates her as a choice for clan leader. Her biddability and lack of tact that sets her apart as a follower also keep her from attaining positions of power - she has not developed the skillful strategy or gentle, fearsome leadership required of leader candidates.
