Shion was not this clan's first assassin, but she is certainly the flashiest. She is a completely different type of assassin from her mentor, who was very straight-forward, efficient, and blunt. Flashy, elegant, and immediately complex emotionally, Shion both enjoys her work and is incredibly capable of separating it from her loved ones. While she isn't quite sound morally, she finds there's a beautiful thrill in being deadly, and her only ground rule is that she will not kill a hatchling. She likes to be pretty, likable, and deadly. Outside of her work, Shion is playful, almost child-like, but not without a deep-set wisdom and maturity that can seem shocking beside her childishness.

Shion has had her fascination for death and ribbons from a young age. Very early on she liked to be pretty, and not much later she saw her first kill when she was mischievously spying on her future mentor, Scarlett. It was breath-taking. She sat, spellbound in her hiding place inside some bushes. The spray of bright blood, the droplets as they shone where they lay, like morning dew, the release of a soul from it's prison. The fear in the eyes of the victim turning to peace. See Shion's mother had been a very spiritual dragon, and she believed that what she saw in that dragon's eyes was the relief of a soul allowed to go home.
Perhaps the foolish thought of a young dragon enraptured by a beautiful sight, but nonetheless, it made it more beautiful yet.

As soon as she could shake herself from her stupor, Shion began the harrowing task of trying to convince Scarlett to take her on as an apprentice. Now Scarlett was a hardened, no-nonsense lady and did not have time to teach a clumsy, arrogant hatchling the subtle ways of killing softly. It took a lot of time, to be sure, and Scarlett was delighted to find that once she gave in, Shion was a wonderful apprentice. Quick to learn and respectful, Shion gobbled up all she could, and quickly developed her own style of assassination- one that was much flashier than that of her mentor, and one that she did not quite approve of. It was nonetheless effective, and Shion's legend grew in size, but it stayed out of her life in the clan.
