Personality: Mecha was originally named for the yellow circuit striping her body, but was apparently determined to live up to that name, becoming an unfeeling killer. The only person she cares for is Blister. Position in the clan: Against Sleet's advice, Blister appointed her his right talon, and revels in displaying her power. Mecha is from a different island, but migrated once she reach adulthood. She is a fighter through and through. Beneath her thin facade of calm, she is a terrifying beast. She is ruthless and tricky, a valuable asset. Most dragons avoid her if they can, and treat her with respect if they cannot. Blister is her adoptive father, and probably the only dragon in the clan Mecha would not kill if she had to. Sleet is uncomfortable in her presence, which gives Blister no small amount of joy. Her habit of wearing the armor of defeated opponents does not endear her to many of the clan members. Her first two hatchlings were exalted, but she cares little. They were born to win or to die. They chose the latter, figuratively. The way she sees it, they were supposed to support and strengthened the clan, and by choosing to migrate to a Wind clan, showed their weakness, and subsequently fulfilled their purpose. Suspense, their father, did not see it that way, and does his best to avoid Mecha, seeing her as just a painful reminder of his mistakes, and the terrible consequences of them. Her mate now is Gaston, who she find appealing solely for his prowess in battle. While she has no sentimental attachment to him, he seems to...like her. It is an odd relationship, to say the least, and totally one-sided.  |
