Origins and Romance
When Aleppo met Gleam his life forever changed. Like a force of nature she snapped him up and then made him take care of hatchlings.
"I thought you wanted to make babies?", slipped past his lips. What an embarassing thing to say! Hopefully he hadn't ruined his chances with her!
"That won't happen untill next week, but I got these hatchlings here to expand the Clan! Aren't they cute! Would you be a dear and watch them while the others and I go to the Coliseum for a bit. They finally agreed!"
"Well, sure, but..."
"Thank you, Windspar will stay here too, though he is mostly on security! He can help out if anything comes up!", Gleam said and was gone in some blue glittering light.
"...but I've never had hatchlings bevore. I have no idea how to care for them", said Aleppo. What should he do now? Well, other people managed taking care of hatchlings and so would he. No, he would exell at it and impress Gleam. Then they would have their own hatchlings, his very own family!

Apparently Gleam was much stronger than everyone else. Aleppo was not surprised. Nobody wanted to go to the areas she longed to train in. They tried a compromise, choosing an area only a little advanced. It did not work out. So they came back and decided to train without Gleam for a while in order to catch up.
"Who will fill in for me, though? You have to go in groups of three, that is how it is done.", Gleam wondered. Then she saw him and exclaimed: "Aleppo, you will do! Go with Herbert and Siegfried to the Coliseum and fight some monsters. It is great fun, I tell you!"
Him, fighting monsters? He was not much of a fighter, really not! He was a Fae and even thogh he knew that was a bad excuse, it still did mean that he was tiny! How was he supposed to do that? Flutter his wings at them? They would not even notice him!
Gleam was looking at him expectingly.
"Okay, when are we leaving?"

In the end all his efforts did pay off. Gleam chose him as her nesting partner. At least this time. He hoped their relationship would last a long time but he wasn't sure he could hold her intrest.
Because he had shown he was capable he was given charge of the nursery, shortly after joined by Glimmer. Working in the nursery was a demanding job. Not only did one have to take care of the hatchlings, but also protect them from any potential outside dangers. Sometimes, if there were particulary many hatchlings, they were also joined by others.
