Lilypad

History
Arkaynn was originally from The Observatory in the Starfall Isles. He worked for the Arcanist, but not because he was good at magic. You see, Arkaynn never had a strong grasp on magic, or at least not enough to actually work at the most important spot in the Isles. Arkaynn knew he wasn't gifted, and his fellow workers reminded him of it constantly. At first, he shook off the hecklers, but as time went on, he began to fall into a depressive slump. He began to feel worthless, and as a result, he found himself even more isolated than he was before. He left the Isles a short time later, to try and make a living in the Mirrorlight Promenade of the Sunbeam Ruins. He started off slowly, with guidance from a native of the ruins, Nightshine. Nightshine took him under his wing, and taught him the customs and history of the ruins, as well as introducing him to some influential people in the ruins. It was only after a couple of months that Arkaynn started to become somewhat of a magical sensation in the ruins. His use of illusions and trickery instead of traditional magic awed and entertained the dragonfolk. It was around this time that he caught the eye of a particular pearlcatcher with an aptitude for magic. In fact, Arkaynn was quite flustered when Pardoytryx first asked him out on a date. Now the two live (somewhat) happily in the Mirrorlight Promenade.
