Ender

Ender shivered lightly, standing in the rows of dragons at the Auction House. Thoughts swirled through his head, thoughts like What did I do wrong? and Wasn't I good enough?. He was so lost in his thoughts that he barely noticed the Fae that came to a stop in front of him until she lightly cleared her throat. "Hello," she says gently, "my name is Autumn. I am the leader of Solanaceae Clan. May I ask as to what your name is?" Ender was shocked. Many of the others being bought were not spoken to this politely. "M-my name is Ender," he stammered, realizing she was waiting for a response. "Well, Ender, I was curious as to if you would like to come with me. There are other Imperials in Solanaceae, as well as others there for a new start, so you certainly won't be the odd one out. What do you say?"

Thinking back, Ender chuckles at how odd a sight it must have been, a massive Imperial following a little Fae out of the Auction House like a duckling would its mother. It's been a while since he agreed to go with Autumn, and he has found a welcoming clan in the treetops that doesn't mind if he was born outside the clan or not.
