Comet is a dedicated scientist and alchemist. Outwardly, he isn't the most social, preferring to stay in his lair or lab to study or run tests. Despite his apparent lack of social interaction, he's quite the smooth talker, and though he's not the friendliest of dragons, no one really minds thanks to all of his helpful and sometimes groundbreaking discoveries.
What everyone else doesn't know is that Comet has many things hidden from them. Aside from his normal lab, which everyone knows about (though he doesn't like visitors, so not many dragons have actually been inside), he has a hidden one as well. Deep down beneath the ground, Comet's true laboratory exists, where he does unspeakable things. The only other dragons who know about the true lab are the ones who are trapped down there for eternity, until death frees them from the endless tests Comet forces them to go through... and Mardikan, but the librarian has yet to speak up, lest he end up part of Comet's tests in the future. Comet is an expert at keeping secrets, and hardly anyone suspects anything. Those that do have no proof, and since Comet does do a lot of good for his clan, no one really wants him to leave anyways. Comet is a powerful asset to the clan, and he knows it, always using it to his advantage.

Comet is also a master at blackmailing, which is probably one of his favourite things other than science and alchemy. He's studied psychology enough to know exactly how to bend anyone to his will. Though, he's still careful to lay low and not draw any excess attention to himself.

As his studies continued, Comet found attaining certain things more difficult. His large size made sneaking around a challenge, and he didn't trust anyone to give him viable information. So, he decided it was about time he took on an apprentice. Comet knew he couldn't just take someone under his wing. No, it would have to be a lot more planned than that. Comet went out on his own to search, claiming he was doing some research of creatures and plants in their natural habitats. In reality, he was looking for an egg. His plan was to just steal one from a random clan, but to his surprise, he found an egg out in the wilderness, unguarded. It had been well hidden, and Comet had found it by accident, his long tail revealing the egg between some tall grass and shrubbery. It was an ice egg, which surprised Comet even more. The egg looked as though it had been deliberately hidden, which meant the parent(s) or whoever had stashed it here could be back at any moment. Comet quickly took the egg, storing it carefully away in one of his bags, before returning back to his home clan. Comet had big plans for this little egg, or more specifically, the hatchlings inside of it... |
