Conception:
Under the joint administration of Tristitia and SHOVOS, the Kustos breeding projects turned from sheer aesthetics to purposeful and designed. Manipulating lax laws on newfound technologies in genetic engineering, the Kustos Overseers created created equipment to utilize their Pathfinder genetic map and splicer software. The developed the Sollistima Gene project, a secret project to develop an infallible researcher that would jettison the Kustos Domain decade ahead from all other cities in the Shifting Expanse. Because of the dubious, if down right unethical means to meet this end, the project operated under the guise of a breeding project that sought to produce exceptional individuals in the fields of technology, engineering, and research. These individuals weren't actually genetically modified, and instead, from early development in their cryogenetic incubation tubes, they were implanted with a synapse chip that constantly formed their neurons in their developing minds. They knew only their design specifications.
First there was Roentgen, the first experiment and mistake of the project. An exceptional engineer, but tortured by the memories of failures and shame that he had never actually been subject to in this world. He was quiet for his time in the Domain.
Then there was Pathfound, the “success” of the Sollistima breeding project. Intelligent and an organic calculator, he could piece together any machine with the most accurate of precision. He seemed to have been created without any side effect of the secret rigorous testing his synapse chip went through.
And then there was Sephirah.
By the time Sephirah was nearing her final term in incubation, SHOVOS had lost interest in the secret project, focusing more fully now on her total digital conversion. The rigorous testing of Sephirah's synapse chip eventually finished whatever tests had been queued up, and awaited the next phase of tests. There were no new tests to give as SHOVOS later completely abandoned the project. Tristitia finished Sephirah's incubation, eventually rearing the girl as her own daughter. But upon exiting the chamber, instead of wandering off to begin her duties self-sufficiently as Tristitia expected, the newborn, fully formed Sephirah simply remained kneeling, repeating only the phrase:
“Requesting redefinition of assigned protocols.”
