Lazuli, Matchmaker


While these days she's a skilled matchmaker, able to link the most surprising of pairings together with ease, early on in her career, she made a match prediction she wasn't quite so sure about.
It was her own, to the quietly tinkering newcomer Iro.
Part of her concern was of how he seemed uninterested in anything other than his unusual creations, even though her aunt Sylphie assured her that it wasn't too out of the norm for a lightning dragon. But, she decided to give herself a little faith, and politely inquired about Iro's project. Almost instantly, he brightened, launching his paws into a flurry of movements and gesturers, Sorniethian sign-language, Lazuli bewilderedly noted, at a much higher level than she'd learned so far from her uncle Sunburst.
Fortunately for her, he noticed, slowing his signing to a pace she could follow, even if his tail was still quivering with delight at the opportunity to go into intricate and thorough detail.
Well, Lazuli thought, perhaps she wasn't wrong after all.
