Born a skydancer in a water clan, Alrischa's first months were learning to swim more than fly. As with many dragons born within the Sea of a Thousand Currents, the young skydancer's need for air and flying were less necessary than the skills of swimming and magic. Though her parents were both doting, she often found her father's attention straying back the clothes he produced en masse for the clan. Flowing with hints of metal, Alrischa grew older with a fondness for being well dressed though remaining inactive or trying to focus on the skill of sewing bored her. Her own mother, a lovely dragon who assisted in the hatchery, often noted the child was an adventurous sort - roaming far and wide during the day and returning home at night with scrapes and bruises from picking fights. In time, the young skydancer grew restless within the clan's docile lifestyle and began venturing further and further during the day until one night she simply didn't return to the clan's dwelling and instead chose to continue pushing forward.
The sea around her was often dark in those first few days, the bright yet strange lights of the Spiral Keep having long since faded behind her and the world being too far down to truly see the light of the sky and sun. Driven by an invisible force, the young dragon continued on her journey only resting when she could swim no further. In time, the world began to lighten, gradually at first, then more swiftly as she began to approach the Tsunami Flats. Though there were many clans who inhabited the areas between where she came from and where she was journeying, Alrischa continued to press forward. Undaunted by the expansive cliffside in front of her, the young skydancer attempted her first flight within a day of reaching the surface. To say she made a spectical of herself would be putting it mildly. Unused to the need to breath without a constant bubble of air and unsteady on both wings and feet from years of constant water pressure around herself, Alrischa found her first few attempts to fly or scale the cliff to be too much. Many of the residents within the Flats advised her to give up or to find another way around, but the young skydancer wouldn't be dissuade. Her calling, she was certain, stood at the top of the cliff and she was going to get there the most direct route. It took nearly a month before she finally managed to scale the impressive cliff, claws sore and broken when she finally reached the top with a small sack of food that had been gifted from a clan below. Much to her dismay however, her journey was only beginning from there. Drawn onward by some invisible force, Alrischa continued forward through the edges of the Hewn City until late one evening months after her initial journey began she stumbled upon a cookfire of the Passus Canorous. Impressed by both the diversity of the troupe and the willingness to accept anyone for the right price, Alrischa realized with a lightened heart that she'd found her originally calling. Settling within the clan, she struggled for months trying to learn how to use her wings properly. During this time, she befriended Izar, the son of two very prominant members of the Òrdugh Rionnag, who taught her how to walk and act more like a tundra than her own kind. Deciding it'd be easier to balance herself with more mass, Alrischa chose to go through the process of breed change, taking the tundra form. Supported by others in the troupe who'd lost their gem and empathic power to breed change, Alrischa strove to prove her worth and pull her weight. One of the only female warriors within the troupe's tundra population, the young one acts first then questions later. She often can be seen carrying a shield around and entering the front lines with it during scrimages earning her the title of Shieldmaiden. When she's not busy fighting or training, Alrischa enjoys the art of dressing others nicely. She often has an opinion on how best one looks in certain clothes and which fashions don't really work for a breed at all.
