Kelvar the Loyal
a dragon of exceptional quality
Kelvar's life has been long and filled with perilous ups and dangerous lows. When he was just a hatchling, he had a life of luxury. His parents lived in a stable clan, with a comfortable life despite the plague riddled wastelands. Strong role models in his early years contributed to his ability to remain stable even in chaotic situations. Such a situation arose when his first clan fell into disarray. After the upheaval left his clan lost and confused, Kelvar and his small family fled the wastelands. Along the way, some were lost. This left Kelvar in a strange mood, unable to properly care for himself or his sudden small family. Among the family that survived the flight from their first clan was his daughter first. She stuck around long enough to watch her father fall apart in the role of leader. Then, she too left. Kelvar spiraled into an extended episode of self pity, wondering how it had all gone wrong. It went on for some time before he came to his senses and sought out a clan to join. Having realized his main problem was the lack of a leader, he knew a clan was inevitably necessary for his well-being. In his second clan, Kelvar did significantly better. He found a niche for himself in the nature clan and stubbornly stayed put. There, he met a beautiful coatl who he took as a mate and they had many hatchlings. The beautiful Aubrey hatched out and was her father's joy. His life was moving smoothly, back on a solid high. His friends were near him and his family was close, so he was comfortable. As his life moved on down the lane of age, he began to get restless. The comfort of his current situation caused him to consider alternate routes. One of them happened to be traveling through the clans. Kelvar has a loyal personality, willing to go the extra mile for anyone he considers a friend. He is greatly empathetic, able to understand other dragons and their trials. This makes him a wonderful dragon to go to if things are going badly in one's life. If a dragon is in need of someone to listen to them, then Kelvar is the go-to. He is somewhat anxious and prone to fits of self pity when things are going incredibly terrible for him. His long life should mean he has a large hoard, although his crazy history has led him to abandon several hoards along the way. He is building up his hoard again, collecting various mechanical bits and bobs. He also enjoys collecting bones, much to the dismay of any non-plague dragons around him. His hoard is just getting off the ground, and he intends on making it larger. |
