Biography
Kobari
|
"A belief in a supernatural source of evil is not necessary; we alone are quite capable of every wickedness." Cheerful Kind Helpful Clever Insecure Self-doubting Alchemist (Apprentice) |
They call him...
The Dragon Snatcher
Blind Demon |
Abandoned and ill at a young age, Kobari was taken under an alchemist's wing in the clan. She was able to cure him, though the effects of the disease took his sight first. He was grateful for her help and began to practice traversing the land with his new lack of eyesight. Potionmaking piqued his interest after he experienced the lifechanging effects it could have, and he began to study under Chouko. Despite his enthusiasm for this new beginning, it wouldn't be long before others in the clan would start talking about the sightings... |
"Long ago, our alchemist, Chouko, was scouting around for ingredients out in the depths of the Starwood Strand... However, right on the border between Arcane and Plague territory, she spotted a young spiral. He had supposedly wandered into the plague lands and had grown very ill. Saddened, she took him into the clan and brewed up a potion to heal him. It took quite a while for the effects to start working, but thankfully, it had postponed the sickness from proceeding any further, and thus had saved his life. But even if it saved his life, he was blinded. His eyes were a pearly white instead of their natural pinkish purple. Chouko, after asking him a few questions, learned that his clan had abandoned him. That his own parents didn't even want him. Feeling pity, she decided to take him in as her own son. She helped him navigate around the clan, around the Arcane land, around everywhere. Until, eventually, he was able to do it himself. He learned to get around on his own rather quickly. Too quickly. Usually, he would wander off on his own, and come back covered in blood. He would be found muttering things to himself. One dragon said that they saw him in his room eating another dragon. One they hadn't seen before. They said that he didn't look normal." |
|
"they say he had long, jagged teeth... His claws were razor sharp, and he looked more like a savage beast than a dragon..." Tenobia continued.
"Horrified, they ran out, scared they would become his next prey. They told the clan. But when the clan investigated the matter, no body was found. Not even bloodstains.
Then, a few days after that event, my hatchlings were stolen from the nursery. He had snuck in and took them... A couple days later, we found their dead bodies near plague territory... They were mutilated, and it seemed as if someone had eaten part of them..." she shivered.
"well... Anyways, the killing spree of hatchlings went. More hatchlings went missing and more bodies were found. Of course, everyone suspected him. All the clues led to that spiral.
He's a monster. One that would sneak in, snatch you, and eat you up for dinner. That's why I am in charge of guarding you. So I can protect you from the same fate all of those other hatchlings shared." Tenobia scowled.
