B I O G R A P H Y

Solstice was not conventionally what the clan expected after their old leader, Pendant, left them to serve under the Tidelord. Prior to becoming the Leader, Solstice took her place alongside the influx of Coatls that had taken a liking to the shores of the Sea of a Thousand Currents. The sea catered to their needs, supplying them with cool waters and a vast variety of ocean critters.

Solstice joined the clan at a very early age, and lived here for most of her life. Briefly training as a Mage prior to her election, the young Coatl was mentored under Pendant's second hand, Caritas. When she wasn't busy training, Solstice instead went hunting with the patrols and scouting about for any treasures that might've found themselves into the water. Solstice served her duties for many moons, and it came as a shock to everyone when Pendant finally broke the news that he would be leaving. Before departing, the Guardian gave a grand speech to the band of dragons, passing on his leadership to Solstice and ensuring that they would be in good hands. trusting her to guide the clan in his absence. The change was devastating to the clan, Solstice especially. Stumbling in her beginning attempts, the Coatl turned to Caritas for help. In the following weeks, Solstice took the reigns of her clan, stepping in Pendant's place and leading the dragons into a time of exploration and expansion.

As their clan spread their boundaries further into the Sea, it soon garnered the attention of other dragons. Over time, the once Coatl-dominated clan became populated with a diverse range of dragons. Solstice felt that her time in the Water Flight was growing short, as the dragons of her clan required resources that weren't available beneath the waves. In her final days under the sea, she swam to the surface, her dragons close behind. Hoisting themselves onto the shore, the waterlogged dragons continued ahead on foot, basking in the sun and leaving sandy footprints behind them. They ventured for some time, eventually coming across the Windswept Plateau. The winds whisked past them, enticing them to continue. Solstice thrummed with excitement, bounding ahead and letting the wind currents ruffle her feathers. They had arrived at the Twisting Crescendo, at last. She was home.

B I O G R A P H Y

Solstice can be seen as rather modest, not being one to speak much about her personal life or be excessively emotional. Her only confidant is Cartias, her life-long mentor and Second-in Command. She places a lot of trust into the Coatl, and leave her in charge whenever she leaves for diplomatic missions.

Solstice's children, Gizmo and Chaz, were born from her first mate, Arrah. Due to rising tensions between their Flights, the two weren't able to keep contact. Despite this, Solstice seemed unbothered by the situation, instead focusing her attention solely on raising her sons and overseeing the clan. Some time later, she had a fling with a Water Flight Spiral named Tociel. It didn't really mean much to either party, and they shortly went their separate ways after their clutch had hatched. Their daughter, Pandra, succeeded Tociel, and is currently the leader of their clan. Despite this, Solstice has minimal contact with her.

Solstice is a fairly quirky dragon, and she is affectionately considered to be the clan's biggest hoarder. She has quite a collection of trinkets in her den, mostly made up of colorful gemstones and feathers. Along with her hoard, Solstice is quite fond of familiars, and collects all kinds of unique companions.
