Daen

Tucked away towards the bottom of the cave system, you find a small cavern labeled "Healer's". The cave is well lit by glowing mushrooms and runes, and is lined with small hollows that contain herbs and potions. Off to your left, you see a pale-furred female tundra attempting to spoon-feed a potion to a ridgeback hatchling, who sniffles often and occasionally sneezes off to the side, showering the floor with drops of potions. In the center of the room sits a large purple-scaled guardian with a nasty cough. He seems to be watching something to your right, and as you turn your gaze you see a red-winged fae dragon using some sort of magic to levitate a series of ingrediants above a mixing bowl much bigger than he is. As you watch, he grinds and mixes the ingredients until the bowl is full of a murky green potion, which he then levitates towards the guardian. The guardian begins to drink, and his cough begins to subside as the fae flutters over to you and lands on a nearby stalagmite.
"Hello there!" the fae says in a friendly voice. "Welcome to Clan Phantom's healer's cave. You don't seem to be ill, but looks can be deceiving. Or perhaps you're here to chat with me or my assistant, Acara? Whatever you need, we're here to help."

All of Daen's siblings had aspirations to be warriors. They spent their hatchling years play fighting and daydreaming about service to their deity. Daen, however, much more enjoyed patching up his siblings after their daily sparring matches. He spent his afternoons studying books on medicine and the healing arts, and when he and his siblings were old enough to leave the clan, Daen set out to find a clan in need of a healer.
Daen found his home in the small-but-growing Clan Phantom, who was desperately in need of a healer after a bout of beastclan attacks. Daen helped them by healing injuries and fixing simple potions to help ward off harm in the heat of battle, and he quickly became a fixture in the clan. Daen became especially close friends with Kaz and Silverhawk (in part because they were frequently in need of his services), and though the three are very different, they enjoy hanging out together by the lair entrance and chatting about life over meals.
Daen is quiet and very socially awkward, but he is friendly and tries his best to converse with visitors. He often takes things literally, and sometimes has trouble understanding jokes or sarcasm, but years of being around Silverhawk have improved his skills at recognizing when something is said in jest. Daen is very skilled in healing magics, and his additional rare gift of telekinetic magic aids him in treating dragons much larger than he.
Acara's htaching posed a particular problem to Daen, who was kept busy treating the outbreaks she caused, but in spite of all the trouble he never held it against her. Daen was the one who first suggested that she could help to heal the dragons she had accidentally hurt, and he began training her in the healing arts once she expressed interest in the idea. Since then she has proven to be an invaluable apprentice, and Daen always appreciates her help. Condor also helps Daen by mixing up various potions, and though Daen has sensed a growing connection between the klutzy mirror and the shy tundra, he has yet to voice his suspicions.
