Chillwave's specialties are rhythm and technology - he claims he can make music out of anything and that there's no system he can't hack, Cybertronian or not. No one's quite sure how truthful his claims are, or when he was last completely lucid. Despite his eccentricities, however, his upbeat and friendly nature has made him pretty popular, though it isn't wise to try and take advantage of his docile nature. For the most part, Chillwave is harmless, but he isn't stupid.

If he's not asleep or indulging in hedonistic recreation, Chillwave's either listening to or making some new-age music with his launchpad, or playing with vital systems terminals. He seems prone to frequent and strange philosophical rambling, and it's not always in common Neocybex. Everyone else usually tunes it out, which often leads to them also ignoring the more important things Chillwave's trying to say. There's a lot about him that they miss, like that he's almost fluent in the ancient Primal Vernacular - a rare skill these days, and one that makes him the best equipped to communicate with the sentient ship that has become their home.

✥ Chillwave was the one to free Polaris from the stasis-lock that'd left him stranded for millennia, and is the only one able to properly communicate him, so he spends more time than most hooked up to the ship and chatting with the Titan.
