Outwardly, Sir Hadley is the perfect knight with his noble appearance and proud manner. Certainly he puts on the show in front of strangers of the well-trained and well-mannered dragon but on the inside however, Hadley's mind is a mess of fervent obsessive thoughts of all the dark creatures and things he was forced to fight against as a child and teenager. The abuse he suffered by their treatment has left him scared mentally and more than a little broken. Secretly he is obsessed with all things dark and unnatural and flocks to these things like a fly to a bright light. He keeps strange artifacts in his den and prefers to travel only at night. Although most of his colleges find him disconcerting, Hedwig has always professed her faith in him and this might be the only light of truth in his forest of shadows that he's seen in a long time.

History- The Haunted Knight

Hailing from a clan living in one of the larger ruins of the Mirrorlight Promenade, Hadley grew up in a noble clan where the leaders were royalty and where everyone had a blood status. Lineage was very important and typically where you came from decided what job in the clan you were given. Hadley came from a line of knights that had served the clan leaders for generations. From a very young age he was taught the role of knighthood and was brought into the coliseum to train. Often he'd be made to fight in the Hwen City on his own to fight the monsters that lived there to become stronger. He'd always return from these trips with wide haunted eyes; as if he'd seen things from his nightmares. Any reluctance to continue this training however, was met with scorn and doubts about his loyalty to the clan and his duties.

So Hadley continued to train alone in the Hwen City, as was traditional, until he could impress the other knights with his combat abilities. However, something dark was growing inside him during every trip to the Hwen City. In most cases, knights-in-training were supposed to gain courage and a sense of purpose by going through lone trials in the haunted city but Hadley never had his parents' courage. The monsters were nothing like those in the coliseum areas and through repeated encounters with them, something cracked in Hadley's mind. Secretly, he became obsessed with several of them; what they did to him and what he did to them. He began to relish the trips into the Hewn City; much to his mentors' approval, who believed this to be a sign of his eagerness to improve his skills. While his skills did improve so did the growing darkness in his heart.

Outwardly Hadley became the perfect chivalrous knight and was soon knighted by the clan rulers and given his clan orders but inside the memories of the monsters refused to release him. He preformed his duties perfectly in the beginning but when certain strange events started occurring around him dragons became speculative towards him; several were even fearful. However, on the night where a raid of Wendigos attacked the clan and killed the son of the clan leader whom Hadley was supposed to be guarding, he was blamed for the tragedy. Hadley never professed guilt in the matter but neither did he defend himself so he was cast out of the clan. He wandered into the dark places around Sornieth until he was approached by a white Skydancer who offered him a job.

Demon Worshiper- Alastor Bane Male

An unusual priest whose chosen the worship of the darker things in Sornieth. They met sometime after Hadley had been banished from his clan. Alastor, having the same fervor for the bizarre, was instantly attracted to the handsomely haunted knight. Hadley in turn, enjoyed his time with Alastor who was, in his opinion, cutely naive when it came to demons and monsters. Alastor was completely in love with Hadley when he was brutally slaughtered by an unknown spectral demon. Hadley, not mentally stable enough to recognize his loss, delved even more deeply in the occult after this and his mind seemed to grow even more unstable.

A nameless bestial demon that Hadley lured into one of his homemade demon traps. After secretly studying it for awhile, his obsessive tendencies and attractions towards all dark things got the better of him. The demon was more than willing to play along.

Ghost- Fasom Niomar
Male

The spirit of a long dead warrior, Fasom wandered the ghostly plane until finding the strange knight who seemed to find him fascinating. With merely an echo of his living mind, Fasom grew hazily attached to Hadley especially during those hours when Fasom was able to briefly manifest a solid body, as older ghost are able to do. He comes and goes in and out of existence these days but his mind remands hazy.

Aiden and Eaden
Two Males

Two boys who were magically conceived between Alastor and Hadley when their relationship grew serious. Despite Alastor's peculator choice of worship, he actually loved kids and convinced Hadley to come to a skilled witch he knew so they could have a family. This was a brighter period in Hadley's life and he agreed.

Sadly both Aiden and Eaden were killed the night Alastor died. Hadley was not there at the time and its thought that Alastor was trying to protect the hatchlings. Hadley has yet to fully comprehend their losses.
