Born in the eternal night of the Hewn City, Aethe comes from a somber heritage. The Bone Court undertakers view their duties with the utmost gravity and sincerity, and are respected for it.

Bone Court children will always be welcome back in their home, and their clans treated with respect.
Child of the Bone King and his Seer, NAME possesses powers they should not have. Aethe is a psychopomp, putting spirits to rest and guiding the dead to their final resting place.

In some clans, funeral rights involve a vigil over the dead, standing watch from dusk til dawn. Aethe offers this services to clans that do not have anyone to do it for them.

Aethe has distinctive features, but distinctive because they are not particularly attractive. A crooked jaw, overly large eyes as though in sockets too small, misshapen horns. But their voice is sweet enough to more than make up for it ten times over. When Aethe is done with the vigil, they sing a haunting song for the fallen, honoring the spirit as it leaves this world. Aethe always seems to know what type of song would best fit the deceased, and can perform everything from a chillingly pure aria to a mournful dirge to a stomping chant to honor a warrior's spirit.
