Varane is uncannily similar to her mother, beyond just her looks. Like her mother, she's highly talented as a Rune Caster, weaving together and activating enchantments that should have been far beyond her at a young age. Magic dances from her fingertips whenever she inscribes ancient symbols on parchment and cloth, the air thrums and sings when she casts her runestones.
Despite all her raw talent though, the training she wants for herself can't be achieved within the borders of Lux Contri. So, with her ambition for higher teaching driving her, and her mother and father proudly, if sadly, smiling as she made to leave, she set out. Out away from the tenuous safety of her birthclan's boundaries, out into the unknown, her favorite cloak around her shoulders and her well-loved bag of runestones tied at her waist.
