Vern flourished where their siblings fell short. Two Coatls with crooked morals don't make a lot of upstanding children, but Vern makes up for their corrupt siblings by doing their best.

They have a natural aptitude for light magic that they use to protect others, but with a unbiased dedication that would put others from their clutch to shame. Somewhere between a sorcerer and an artisan, Vern makes their living making protective charms and self-enchanted stones for those in need. These often shining baggies or glowing stone pendants are free to whoever wants to feel a little safer, but in return for their services Vern takes advantage of shelter or excess food only if it can comfortably be spared for them.

Vern's lost everything before due to their own greed, but they no longer travel with Audrey and both siblings are much happier for it.
