Biography
Mael bonds with her step-mother, Dancer, over the proper way to perform spells and charms. Because they're nerds.
Loves history. A lot. Too much to be healthy. She keeps bringing up random trivia about the deities and beastclan leaders at family dinners.
Meg's confidant and childhood friend. They argue about literature and politics for fun.
Has a big ol' crush on Myria.
Currently studying the difference between Transference and Projection magicks.
Notes:
Not all dragons are born with the gift of magick. Those who are cast their magic in one of two ways: Transference or Projection. Some elements are more common in one type over the other, however couples of differing elements have been known to have children with unstable magick -- they typically do not survive to adulthood. Very rarely, a Medium will be born who possesses both Transference and Projection casting. Mediums are incredibly powerful in their Element(s), and incredibly volatile.
Categories of Casting
Transference
Common Elements: Wind, Light
Transference magicks uses the dragon's body as the focus. As such, spells are cast by physically touching an object or another living thing in order to "transfer" the magic directly into it -- they can also transfer the magic out. Those born with Constructive magic (such as Light, or Nature) are usually healers.
Ice: body is cool to the touch; unemotional; transference can bring peace of mind, or death.
Shadow: shapeshifter; transference can change the form of target
Wind:
Water: foresight; transference of thoughts
Nature:
Light:
Lightning:
Fire:
Arcane:
Plague:
Earth:
Projection
Common Elements: Shadow, Arcane
Projection magic uses the dragon's mind as the focus. Magick is pulled from the space around the dragon. This usually involves the physical manipulation of an Element (ex: redirecting the flow of Water) that doesn't require the dragon to be in direct contact with it.
Between the two types of casting, Projection is usually the more favored as it places less stress on the body.
Categories of Elements:
Constructive
Destructive

Subjective
... this is all so confusing. I should have majored in Languages instead.
