History
Life isn't so easy when you were a hatchling rejected from the very start. The moment he crawled out of his egg to meet the world, the first words he heard were of disgust, of hatred. He was treated as a vile, bacteria-infested used rag, and thrown away just like one. The moment he had been able to see the world, all he'd seen was hatred.

His parents had left him to die on his own, and had abandoned him where he was, leaving not even a single scrap for him to use. For days, he called out, wandering not too far away from where they'd left him, hoping that they would change their mind. But the more days he saw pass by, the more he realized they were never going to. He was alone, and for some reason, he deserved to be. He learnt to survive on his own. He learnt to hunt, to scavenge, to pilfer and steal what he needed to live one more day. But he did so almost politely - Leaving items he no longer needed behind in their place, whispering apologies and placing friendly spells.

Back then, he would have never thought that he might ever regret it. These days, he still follows the serene Imperial around, longing for the affection he had heard once, hoping that one day he might do right in Akhlys' eyes. Even if he wanted to run, he knew Erebus was right behind him, anyway...

But one day, Akhlys had his dream come true. An Emperor, born from the bodies of Imperials thrown to the seas, bodies that he had been ordered to drag out. Akhlys' only need of him, and he had succeeded, and now he was no longer necessary to anyone in Sornieth. He hadn't stuck around to watch the abomination be born. Instead, he brought back one of the deceased Imperials to life, made her his sole company.

And then he ran.
