Biography

You rang, m'Lady?
Though Aloysius may speak with a funny accent and seem as nothing more but the Lady Adara's loyal butler (and personal shadow), don't be fooled. He's a "reformed" crook who is an expert at picking locks and cracking safes, and acts as the Lady's personal bodyguard, a title he well deserves.

He came from a family that has long served as the loyal retainers to royalty and important personages in the Sunbeam Ruins, which was a path he was expected to follow as well. Unhappy with his future destiny, he instead struck out as a small time thief and fell into the company of a band of small time crooks who specialized in small robberies of valuable objects. It was during this time that he learned such valuable skills as self-defense, lock-picking, and safe-cracking.The sumbeam ruins provided a wealth of both archaeological artifacts and other nice little valuables that netted a decent profit.

However, luck changed for his small band of crooks, and the rising notoriety of the group and changes in how artifacts were guarded, along with competition with other bands caused the group to migrate the the Sea of a Thousand Currents. The luck continued to dwindle for the group, and while robbing a lair one night, Aloysius was caught by the Lady Adara, who was just beginning her career as a small-time spy. She had heard of him in the criminal underworld, and offered him the chance of a partnership and a place to stay instead of turning him in. Faced with the offer of a roof over his head and a full stomach for the rest of his life versus a life in prison, Aloysius happily agreed.
