Ikaroa's egg was found abandoned in a patch of brambles within the Wispwillow Grove, not far from Shadehallow Territory. The faint glow of the egg caught Farshadow's eyes, all four of them. As she slowly walked towards the egg, its glow grew brighter. It soon glowed like the mushrooms around the Wispwillow Grove. Farshadow decided to take in the egg into the territory of Shadehallow. A few days later, the egg hatched. To Farshadow's surprise, the dragon in the egg was a nocturne. She had thought they were still sleeping, hidden away in the Tangled Wood until the Night of the Nocturne. The nocturne's navy blue scales and oil-colored wings gave off a prismatic shimmer, and her purple eyes glanced left and right at the dragons. She was then named Ikaroa and was given title of alchemist when she was older. Ikaroa became interested in alchemy when she was older. She regularly visits Baldwin at the Trading Post every day. The nocturne soon met Tobai, a skydancer who is interested in engineering and mechanics. The two fell in love and became mates.
