▬▬▬▬▬▬ When your hatched from a floating egg that the gathering team found a lot is expected of you. Most of the time Rune was very quiet, following those that cared for him around, asking the odd question and behaving like any young dragon would. He was somewhat adopted by Mayfly. He gets on well with other young dragons but there are times however when Rune is completely unapproachable, when he lashes out at others as if he doesn't know who they are. The healers reasoned that Rune is host to a shade entity that has occasional control over him. They do not know what triggers the Shade to act or what causes it to step back. |

▬▬▬▬▬▬ When Rune matured a few dragons tried to find ways to stop the shade controlling him but as yet no one has found anything that can keep the shade contained. It’s due to this inability to contain or expel the shade that Rune suffers blackouts and memory loss often as well as drastic mood swings. When the clan’s alchemist started experimenting with the Bogsneak mutagen and gave the clan its first Bogsneak member the others noticed Rune talking to Lilliandil, the two were seen sneaking to the caldron. The explosion was so loud it woke the whole lair as well as a few of the surrounding ones Lilliandil was seen to flee the scene laughing Rune however was found unconscious near the blast zone. Over the next few days his fur began to fall out in huge chunks. Rune was moved away from the other dragons as his nightly screams of pain and constant foul mood began to scare the more skittish members. He growled at all that approached, cursing and wishing pain upon them. The other dragons were sure they could hear his bone snapping and clicking late at night. As his condition got worse the healers at a loss called in any dragons with magical abilities to aid in stopping the odd transformation. Not knowing what to do runes where carved into his scales in hopes that would at least hold back the shade he still housed. On fully transforming into a Bogsneak Rune’s attitude was far from the pleasant tundra he’d seemed as a hatchling. More brash and mean Rune seemed more Shade than anything... although he does lapse into a quieter state in the early mornings when the shade is resting.  
Rune spends his days in the darker parts of the lair, he's still in considerable pain from his transformation but will no longer seek help from the healers. The shade within him doesn't wish to be suppressed further. Now being more shade than dragon Rune is making an attempt to spread the shades influence. He charms females to have a nest with him... as yet no children have shown signs of the shade but he will keep trying. |
