Eos

Nkosana took pride in his daughter, Eos. Hespera was not appreciated as much. Who knows, perhaps her mother would've loved her more. But it was too late to know whether or not that would ever happen. BubbleGum was, and still is, dead.

Eos may have seemed to be a proper young lady, but she never let her twin sister live down the fact that she hatched a few hours later. It wasn't that the two didn't get along. Most times they could practically read each other's minds, which was helpful when Eos got in touch with her inner prankster and joined Hespera in one of her many schemes.

Hespera was more naughty. It wasn't her fault, exactly. Her father's affections for Eos had twisted her out to be this way. She tried not to be jealous of her sister, but it always seemed as though Eos sucked up all the attention. She was pretty and smart, and everyone liked her. That wasn't her fault. Hespera couldn't just resent her sister because she was beautiful. While Eos didn't seem to notice all the attention she got compared to the 'tsk's Hespera earned, she was still nice to her little sister.

"Like day and night," dragons would whisper about the sisters. "Dusk and dawn. Those two couldn't be any more different. Eos is such a dear, and Hespera is a conniving snake. Tsk tsk. It's too bad none of Eos's good looks rubbed off onto her sister. A shame. Truly a shame." Hespera tried to ignore when her clan mates said such things, but that alone is enough to drive a young dragon insane. She'd read enough books to know that this was the part when most of her favorite heroines ran away. Hespera was sensible enough to not do such things.

Eos had just about given up on stopping her sister from going out for her midnight schemes. The pranks she played were harmless, anyhow; They just wasted a lot of the clan's time. On many occasions they didn't realize it was just a prank until too late. Hespera was good at what she did. (But, just to confirm, she was no 'conniving snake'.)

Eos did what most young maiden dragons her age did- She helped her clan, picked flowers, played with the hatchlings, and occasionally flirted with the males. Hespera refused to go out, spending all day consumed in her books. Almost everyone thought of this as extremely odd.

But even though Eos knew her sister like the back of her claws, there was one thing even she couldn't crack- Hespera's secrets. And one of those secrets was a very, very big one.
