asLbxD1.gif As a plague dragon and a mirror, Freckle may not seem the fatherly type. Despite this, he truly is. He's perfectly willing to care for and babysit all the hatchlings in the lair. He's jovial and friendly, willing to care for any dragon.

Originally named Avery by his birth clan, he left soon after his adolescence to join a pack of mirrors. He formed a bond with one there at the time. The friend, who he strangely never learned the name of, gave him the nickname Freckle. He explained it was due to a mole-like marking on his cheek. The two stayed together, though roamed from pack to pack. Emery, a Wandering Surgepriest, joined them as his friend's familiar.

His companion became mortally wounded in one hunt, and encouraged Freckle to move on. Freckle obliged, taking Emery with him. He still participated in hunts, though didn't find much joy in it. He soon realized he'd rather move on to a peaceful life and left the Boneyard altogether.

After wandering awhile, Freckle took a home at the Burrows. He introduced himself by his nickname, and no one knows his real name to this current day. Freckle quickly found himself cooling down. He began socializing with others more and found he enjoyed it, as well as making others happy.

Freckle truly found his passion with Finch, better known as Mesopotamia. He helped to raise the spiral and became attached to him, reminded of his former companion. Freckle soon realized he wanted to care for the hatchlings and raise them with the upbringing he never had.

Today, he does just that. He's often found with the hatchlings babysitting, reading them books, or teaching them lore. He'll let hatchlings climb on him, though he may be crushed by some. Freckle often plays hide and seek with his young brood, as well as other fun games. Despite his past, Freckle has a very kind heart and now never wishes to see anyone come to harm.
