...about. The scent of incense and ink clings to her fur, announcing her presence wherever she goes. Gold eyes peer shyly from underneath her hood as she writes her notes in hasty flourishes. Circles and runes, rituals and recipes, all decorate the pages even as they are burned into her mind. It was the spirits that guided her to the torn Clans, she says. Many were skeptical of the timing of her arrival. They asked her questions that only their lost loved ones would know the answers to. When her eyes dimmed, her replies became uncannily accurate. They were convinced. It leaves a sick and queasy feeling in her stomach to hand her autonomy over to the ones passed on- uncomfortable in her own skin, drowning in others emotions, as if she might lose herself in the process- but she does it at request regardless. Anything to help the Clan that took her in. But ceremonies and rituals- that's where she shines the brightest. Naming ceremonies. Exalting rituals. Coming-of-age ceremonies. Deity rituals. Death ceremonies. Enchantments, oaths, curses. Inks and incense and perfumes and herbs, candles and carvings and bones and songs: all fall in her forte. She conducts them with a conviction not found in her day-to-day persona. Others call it a skill, a talent; she attributes it to intuition. To say her work is appreciated is an understatement. She binds the new Clan together, gives them a common ground, a common lifestyle. Hope. Control. Certainty. If not for her, they would have fallen apart long ago. ...abilities.
