Hex was lucky. Hex was very, very lucky.

Growing up in a loving, safe household is not a luxury everyone is able to gain. While her mother made sure to teach her and her siblings all the tangled complexities of royalty, Hex was happier with the idea of a cozy home in a cozy village away from the sparkling gold of her heritage. She broke away from the gilded walls as soon as she could, and made herself comfortable in a coastal town where she could watch the sunsets.

This choice alone may have saved Hex's life.

News eventually reached the skydancer that a tragedy had befallen her family unlike any other, and any remaining dragons fled from the castle that had been stained red with her bloodline. Hex mourned as she searched the Lightweaver's domain for any survivors and eventually she found Rose; her niece that she had heard so much about.

Hex nearly cried with relief when the younger skydancer agreed to live with her. However, the universe did not give the two long enough to build a bubble of peace before danger threatened them once more. The dragons who had attacked that fateful night of the slaughter were back, and seeking to eradicate the last of the bloodline. Hex and Rose made the decision to move to the Windswept Plateau, and in their attempt to disappear they settled down in the Kingdom of the GuidingWinds; a large city that's protected by illusionary magic and rumors.

While living in the Bolted Gem- a well known tavern -Hex met Jegudiel and agreed to help her in her mercenary work. After all, it would be good for her to make use of her magic abilities instead of letting them grow stagnate. It'd also be good for Rose- to socialize and make some friends.

Now Hex is a part of the mercenary group called The Woven. She's known for her laid-back and carefree attitude, along with her penchant for luxurious items far above her pay grade and terrible habit of seeking out parties to attend. She's thankful that the training she received in her youth has helped her hide her worrying nature from the others.
