Biography
Athena: Greek goddess of war, wisdom, and craftsmanship.
Clan Leader
Intelligent, ill-tempered, cunning, strong.
Athena was far too intelligent as a child for the demands of her clan. She spent the days daydreaming and the nights stargazing, imagination strong as only a cunning individual could bear. When it came time to take up the craft of blacksmithing, as all those before her had pursued, she rejected the idea of menial labor and instead sought adventure and battle. Her parents, distraught with their wayward hatchling and her rebellion, sought the clan elder for advice. When Athena was brought before him, she continued to vehemently refuse the lot they aimed to give her in life.
"You would rather take the hammer to battle than to iron," he spat. In turning her back on the ways of her clan, the young Ridgeback was banished. Frustrated with the stifling air of the Ashfall Waste, Athena sought out an entirely different barren wasteland to hone her skills in warfare.
In her travels, though she met many and learned much, none entranced her as did Scythe and his followers. Though his clan was small and growing gradually, she found her abilities both appreciated and revered in the company of the Plaguelings. Athena's brash and intelligent nature mixed well with the crazed, but fierce leadership of Scythe and she soon found herself vaulted alongside him, leading a clan of miscreants and sinners. Though Athena's primary job entails creating and overseeing battle tactics in war, she has been known to lift her bloody hammer in more difficult clashes.
Mate to Scythe.
