A prissy Pearlcatcher with a case of amnesia, Kuyutha stumbled across the clan after traveling Sornieth looking for a place that wouldn't reject him for his unfortunate lack of a pearl. He got lucky finding a job at the tavern, with their policy of no discrimination or turning down those in need. He was quickly accepted as their winemaker, having garnered knowledge on the subject in his travels.

He appears to believe his age grants him the ability to be unnecessarily rude and judgmental to others, and he values hard work above all else. He attempts to be a leader in everything he does, and if anything is unorganized, he will step up and try to bring order to a chaotic enviroment. He enjoys the finer things in life, and you can often catch him resting in his den, reading a book while sipping his wine and eating expensive imported snacks.

He has taken a disliking to the clan's chef Triton, who works alongside him in the tavern. The Spiral is too excitable and hyperactive for him, and he doesn't pay the respect Kuyutha demands. Triton only sees him as a cooking partner and a friend, not a man who has fought for his position in life, as he believes he is. That being said, the dishes that he creates that incorporate Kuyutha's wine are often delicious, so their partnership is almost worth all the disrespect he puts up with from the young man.

His lack of a sizable pearl has hurt him before, leading to his incapability to remember anything before finding his current clan, and most other Pearlcatchers look down on him secretly. He tries not to let the judgement get to his head, but it's hard for him to when he is seen as an outcast by his own species. This is why he demands so much respect- he tries to act better than he actually is to even begin to be seen as a worthwhile person by others. In addition, he believes he is quite shallow, as losing his pearl has made him lose his identity as well, so he had to create himself as a new person from scratch.
