In a gust of shadows and wind, Kanda splays the cards out in front of him. He closes his eyes, and holding his claws over the deck he ponders their energies. Kanda moves his hand to the right- no, not there, that's not it- then to the left- yes, there, those are the right energies- and takes the card his fingers touch. He opens his eyes, and flips it over. As soon as he does, the rest of the deck disappears silently into fog as cold as ice. When the fog clears, the grim look in his eyes is clear as day.

"I'm sorry," he says gravely. "But you don't have much time."
