Biography
She wanted to bite into his neck, to feel the blood arise and taint her mouth with his scarlet gore. But no matter how much she told her body to move, to attack, something stopped her. Her jaw was locked. She was unable to kill Lunatic, no matter how hard she tried. Burning pain reverberated through her flesh, an incessant reminder of his capricious behavior and cold blooded betrayal. An even more painful feeling was the suffocation of her heart that pattered with fear and hope, hope that maybe this isn’t it, maybe it can get better. All she desired for was for this to have never occurred.
“H-how did you become a k-k-killer so fast, from a c-complete lady?” Lunatic stuttered. I should ask you the same, you filthy lizard, she simmered silently. All he could hear were her mangled voice’s excruciating screeches whenever she tried to speak. This would be a one sided conversation. “Why c-can’t I kill you? My body tries to m-move with intention t-to k-kill, but it c-cannot.” A hysterical sob rose into his throat and escaped into the air. “I-is this happening to you too?” His sentences were punctuated by hiccups as tears began to fall. This was not a normal occurrence.
Seeing her childhood friend cry as he rarely ever had caused the tears that had previously welled up in her own eyes to spill, despite what he had just done to her. She had never felt so conflicted in her life. Pathogal nodded hesitantly in response to her attempted murderer’s question, recoiling herself lower to the ground in case she had to pounce.
“So w-we… can’t k-kill one another,” he whispered, stepping further away from her. Her scales discharged heat angrily and he could feel it even from where he stood. She nodded once more, and retched up a bubble of magma onto the floor. “Will you c-come with me? We can’t h-harm one another, so why don’t we stay t-together? I’m so s-sorry for attacking you…” He dropped onto the floor before her in a begging position, still wary of the magma she had spit. “I’m so, s-so s-sorry…”
She growled with distrust, and crouched even lower to the ground, subconsciously making herself smaller in self-preservation. “Don’t t-touch me, and I w-won’t touch you. We can p-protect one another, Path,” he insisted, head still lowered. She hissed, eyes narrowing into slits, but she could feel herself considering.
He raised his head, eyes meeting with hers. She knew that he was scared of her, far more scared of her than she was of him. This could be beneficial to her. He most likely wants to kill with her, become a murdering pair. They could make a lot of treasure off of the loot, and she could just abandon him after she’s made all the money. But wait, why am I thinking like this? This is Luna, my childhood friend… this is Luna, the one I was once in love with, She repeated to herself. She took a deep breath in, and a deep breath out. This is Luna, the one I am still in love with.
“You’re worthy, y-you’re strong!” This is Luna, the one I will stay in love with. “You’re t-the most amazing d-dragon I’ve ever met!” The desperation is present in his voice, he is servile for my forgiveness… But this is Luna, I will forgive him. “Together, w-we could be unstoppable… What do you say?”
