Biography

xxxxxice_rune_20.png N O R T H
FRIGID FIGHTER
ice_rune_20.png

North has a dark past. She was, at one time, a warden at the Dripcave Dregs. While she refuses to talk about it - much like she refuses to talk about most things - some in the clan suspect she may have gotten to be such by first being a prisoner herself, who, when she showed great combat potential and an appropriate temperment, was offered the position as an attonement for her crimes. After many years warding the prison, she was badly injured in an emergency situation at the Fortress of Ends. Her injuries prevented her from continuing her extremely demanding service, but she was still a formidible force, and gladly shouldered the needs of a nearby emerging clan for a skilled combatant, trainer, and ambassador.

North stalked through the snow, hard-packed over the years by its own weight. This part of Ice territory was rarely visited - here at the fringes of the Fortress of Ends, dragons either gathered slightly west towards the Cloudscape Crags, or were a part of the dark mysteries deeper into the Fortress. The rare visitors to this territory consisted mostly of those passing through, which amounted to very few - escapes from the Fortress were practically unheard of, and equally few were those who willingly journeyed into it.

Prey was scarce here as well. North had been trekking for days, since being relieved of her services at the Fortress, and had yet to find a meal. Suddenly, a cry split the air, cut short just as quickly. She immediately turned towards the sound, breaking into a sprint and only slowing as she approached. To her surprise, there were two dragons, hunched over their catch and devouring it hungrily. North watched for a few moments, assessing the best plan of attack, then sprung into action.

At the sound of her ear-splitting screech, the two dragons’ heads snapped up and they immediately braced themselves for battle. North had to admire their quick reactions as two last strides brought her fury upon them, leaping towards them claws first. The male reared up to meet her and the two tumbled back into the snow, rolling twice. The male landed on top but a swift kick to his gut with her powerful Wildclaw legs sent him flying, and North had just enough time to right herself before the other dragon leapt onto her back. North braced herself to stop from falling over, sliding through the snow as she whipped her long neck around to plunge her jaws into the attacker’s shoulder and rip them off her back, flinging them aside. Catching sight of the male approaching again, she used her momentum to swing her tail into him, knocking him off his feet. The battle continued a few minutes longer until North stood crouched, growling at her two opponents and breathing heavily. She could handle two versus one easily enough, but her wounds from the incident at the Fortress were not fully healed, and she was weak for lack of food. Tense moments passed as the three stared each other down. Finally, assessing that North was unlikely to launch another attack, the male relaxed slightly and spoke. “You fight extraordinarily well,” he commented. North didn’t respond and he eyed her thoughtfully. “What brought you to attack us?” he asked. “I haven’t eaten for many days. I have no clan to return to, and the prey-rich areas are still a day’s journey off,” North responded matter-of-factly. The two dragons looked at eachother, seemingly having some sort of exchange, before the male spoke again. “If you agree to come with us - at least to discuss some things - we will share our kill, and any other resources we have so long as you stay.” North straightened up, intrigued by the offer. Her hunger hastened her decision. “Very well,” she answered. “I accept.”

Posistion: Abassador of War

Roles:
North handles all ambassadorial trips relating to clan rivalries, territory disputes, or other such potentially violent matters. She also handles recruitment, both of new clan warriors and of soldiers to be trained for the Icewarden. Training of the recruits also falls under her duties, as well as joining particularly tough hunting trips.

Relationships:
North is mated to Jayden. She is logical and well spoken, caring more for practical relationships than emotional ones, and can turn on you with the flip of a coin should the situation ever call for it. Very closed off to others, Jayden is one of the few she lets her guard down around, although he is no exception to her high standards for respect.

Personal Items:
9842.png
Perhaps unsurprisingly, North keeps spoils of war like all other proud warriors. However, following a request from Jayden, she now keeps these spoils limited to hunting trophies, as he was beginning to get uncomfortable with the amount of dragon parts accumulating in their den.

Every great warrior needs motivation, and for North it is servitude to her flight’s deity, the Icewarden. Although the statues are hardly necessary to remind her of her callings, she keeps them in honor of him and to show others of her devotion.
