Biography
He's a gentle soul - kind, fragile, as soft as a baby bird. His voice is quiet, light. He soars through the sky, more graceful than a swan, feeling as light as the breeze itself. He cannot help but feel that he is meant to be a Skydancer - he has always felt drawn to their long feathered wings, their nimble bodies.
He left his home when he was only a couple of years old, and never looked back. He had heard of the place known as the Windswept Plateau, a place where the Skydancers roamed freely - their natural habitat. He wanted desperately to go.
He flew through the Starfall Isles until he came to the edge - to the Scarred Wasteland. He quivered at the sight of it - the rot and disease, the bones upon bones upon bones stretching out in front of him. Shaking with fear, he began to fly again, praying to the Arcanist that he'd make it through.
He almost made it. Almost. He was weary by the time night fell, and looked for a place to rest - a large boulder nearby looked like it might hide him from unfriendly eyes. He curled up, and slept for what seemed like an eternity.
He still will not speak of what happened next. He found himself captured by a group of rogue mirrors, intent on sacrificing him to the Plaguebringer. For three days he was held in their capture, being dragged along to where their camp was. He regretted ever leaving the comfort of his home clan - the comfort of his mother.
It was sheer luck that he survived. He was close to the edge of the Windswept Plateau, and a warrrior, Miuna, caught site of him - a small hatchling, covered in wounds, filthy and crying out for his mother. Outraged at such a disgusting act, she alerted her fellow warriors, Cole and Poppy, and the three rushed to rescue him, overpowering the group of mirrors and bringing him back to their clan.
When he awoke next, he was in a warm nest curled next to a beautiful Coatl, his wounds healed. She introduced herself as Sakura, and assured him he was safe. She would be his mother now, if he'd like, and he'd never have to go back to the Scarred Wastelands again.
The little Coatl was unsure - he could remember bits of his home, and of his mother and sister.
Then she entered the den. A Coatl prettier than any the hatchling had ever seen - Faelyn. His mind was made up almost immediately - he asked Sakura gently if he could stay. Sakura pulled him even closer to her body, and assured him that he was her son now, and he could stay forever if he chose to.
She named him Aurelius, and soon he was a full member of the clan. He was introduced to the three warriors who had saved him, and to other hatchlings around his age. He was also properly introduced to Faelyn, with whom he became quite taken.
A few days later, when he had fully adjusted to life in the clan, he shyly asked Sakura an important question - whether it was ever possible for him to become a Skydancer. Sakura at once assured him that it was - many dragons within their clan became Skydancers with the Spiritstone's blessing, and all he had to do was ask Shira. He did so promptly, and the beautiful Imperial told him to go and sleep - when he next woke, she was certain his request would be granted.
He did as he was told, and awoke as a Skydancer. His heart burst with joy - after wandering for so long and being so frightened and hurt in the Wastelands, his heart's desire had come true.
Soon after that, his sister showed up. He remembered her fondly - they had spent their very first days together, after all - and welcomed her warmly to his new home. To his delight she announced her intentions to stay with him, and soon joined him as a Skydancer.
