Oneheart

OneHeart's mirror lineage had an interesting genetic history, they were all born with multiple hearts. Some speculate that this is because her ancestor had such a big heart, it couldn't hold all of the love the dragon had for its clan. The Gladekeeper granted this mirror several more hearts so it could retain all of the love it had.

Anyway, when OneHeart hatched from her egg, her parents found that she did not carry the genetic trait; she was born with only one heart. The clan's elders took this as a sign from the Gladekeeper that her blessing was no longer on them, and they threw the newborn hatchling out of the lair and into the claws of whatever waited for her in the wilderness. However OneHeart was a test, sent by the Gladekeeper herself, to see how the clan would respond to the baby dragon. The nature deity valued life above all else, not a symbolic trait. The Gladekeeper then took away her blessing from the lair. She also sent a bear that could not have children herself to care for OneHeart. As the mirror grew, she learned how to communicate with her new mother. Together, they traveled to find a clan that would accept both.
