Biography Though born within the Starfall Isles, Aethos was quickly picked up by a travelling band and brought to be raised in the Stormcatcher's domain, finding work as a mechanic for anything and everything under the sun. Vehicles, automata, devices, and doodads, all of them found new uses in her careful claws, saved from the scrap bin or repurposed within the hour. It wasn't outstanding work, compared to the masters who roamed the canyons. They were the sort who could breathe life into a gear just with a touch, who could diagnose a frayed wire without even lifting off a panel. They were the sort who could taste electricity in the air, not the ever-present static but the gentle current of a live wire within a device. No, she wasn't a master fixer by any stretch of the imagination. But she didn't have to be. Not for the plans they were hatching. The thing about magic is that it can only go so far. It's regulated, in a way - you can only exert as much as you have, and maybe a little past that if you're reckless. But tech? Oh, tech can do anything, and its only limit is your wallet. It took more than a few years and a lot of experimentation, not to mention an absurd amount of parts-collecting, but eventually she was ready. Booster jets, check. Solar panels, check. Electricity-conducting harness based on movement, check. The skill and know-how to put it all together? Oh, check. The process is not one she's ever bothered sharing, but the end result is hard to miss. Electricity crackles across her scales with every movement, dancing along the mechanism that seems almost hardwired within her wings. It looks heavy, and buzzes at all hours, and those in the vicinity find the air drier and more crunchy than expected. Aethos, however, considers it a resounding success. As do most observers, when they see the wildclaw stun a preybeast from three lengths away. Personality Quiet. Calculating. A keen hunter, and what she lacks in stealth, she makes up for it tenfold in sheer power. Allies [image] Kraatos. They met on the road, and became cautious friends after he took an idle interest in her augmentations. [image] Veneficia. Friends. handshake meme and at the center is 'not actually that concerned with the weird decisions of their past and what it means for their identity as being a dragon and good person' except of two VASTLY different calibers. also im not saying that she knows veneficia's deal, still debating, but theyve definitely bonded over their pasts. Motives Seems only to stay out of loyalty to Kraatos. Idly interested in the mystery of those possible tunnels, but her attention wanders from it quickly when things aren't immediately being worked on in that regard.
