Co-founder of Astral clan, with her mate Nishellar.

Valthianar grew up in another clan and raised many children there. She met Emella and they became friends; soon Valthianar decided to live with Emella. But the two knew that Valthianar did not fit in the Verdant clan. With Emella's permission, Valthianar set up the Astral clan right next to Verdant territory. She met her mate, Nishellar, a young Imperial, and instantly bonded with her. Together they opened the Astral clan to wanderers.

Nishellar passed during the June plague, in which many dragons of the clans went to the Gladekeeper. Her memory is treasured by Valthianar and the rest of the clan.

Valthianar trains with Metaphor and Sapphar, two dragons much younger than she, but just as fierce.
