They call her the swamp witch.

It isn’t a very accurate title. There are hundreds of witches and dragons exactly like her; preferring to live alone and secluded in their own quiet places (swamps just call to her). But there was no one she could complain to, really; her only companion being her familiar, who either didn’t understand what she was saying, or simply did not care.

Either way. Dragonkind is incredibly complicated and picky. That’s why she keeps to herself and her potions.

Of course she has potions. She has to be a witch somehow, right?

She’s got potions for everything. If you can find and persuade her, she might just relent. Count yourself lucky though, if you can even find the courage to peer into those fiery eyes. She’s got potions to pause time (only for a few minutes) and summon creatures (in small quantities because you could be up to all kind of mischief with that power) and even cause forgetfulness (which is for—hold on a minute. What was I talking about again?)

Its not impressive, but when used at the right moment, well. That’s a whole different matter entirely.

She keeps the good stuff in the back. When you talk to spirits and converse with the damned, you tend to hide the incriminating evidence where dragons can’t stumble on it. She keeps powders and potions to suppress the ley-lines and discourage hauntings, oftentimes keeping more dragons safe than she actually realises.

Yes, she’s selfish and rude and horribly detached, but that doesn't mean that she does not care.
