Stories:
While she was raised by loving parents, she always felt a close attachment to Frosty, a young adult Tundra who seemed like a third parent to her. He shared her love of both wind and cold and told her of his adventures in The Southern Icefield when she was still too young to leave the lair. However, she also had a fondness for stealth, which Frosty was not happy with. When she was almost of age to find a charge, she decided she wanted to find her own familiar. She was determined to fight until she was strong enough to enter The Crystal Pools and befriend an Arctic Hippalectryon. Unfortunately, after a few battles Winter got tired of waiting so long and figured she was strong anyway. She decided to sneak out of the lair one day and head to the Pools. She became intimidated at how strong the creatures there seemed, but was too determined to stop now. Winter hatched a plan: she would sneak around the area until she found an Arctic Hippalectryon nest and steal one of their eggs while the parents were away. Once she found a nest, she grabbed an egg and started making a break for it. She tried flying back to the hiding spot she had previously been in, but then suddenly some hooves knocked her out of the air. She looked up to see the mother of the egg, who had kicked her across the ground. She roared as she slammed against a crystal, nearly blacking out. As the Hippalectryon came closer, she braced herself for an inevitable end. Suddenly, she heard a familiar dragon roar: Frosty. The Tundra carefully but quickly helped her up and onto his back and flew away, leaving the egg behind and warding the Hippalectryon off with some breath attacks. Once they were back to the lair, he took her to his burrow and let her rest. Once Winter had woken up again, she asked Frosty how he had found her. He said he saw her leaving the cave but she was too quick to find a hiding spot for him to be able to follow. However, he saw her impatience with becoming stronger and decided she would be at The Crystal Pools. As much as he hated the idea of sneaking around, he slinked around the pools in attempt to find her. He finally heard her roar in pain and rushed to the source. When she was healed up, her father told her it was time for her to find a charge. Winter didn’t hesitate for a second to tell him she had actually already been on her journey. Ever since then, she has protected Frosty in gratitude, but has made sure to stay away from stronger creatures whenever she can.
