Biography
Once a court mage, he's...not now? Most folk assume he was exiled, but...it's possible that he just left...?
No one really knows what he's doing, why he's doing it or where he's doing it...
He can be found gathering materials, picking up foodstuffs or at the occasional festival(his magic displays are a sight to see) ...but....all attempts to locate his home have come up empty.
Sometimes he disappears so long his friends think something's happened...only for him to show up in town months later like it's just another day
-Gets annoyed every time Thanda manages to find him (but still serves her tea).
It's hard to believe such an antisocial dragon ever had a family...
He prefers to keep others guessing and will rarely correct rumors...they've gotten a bit out of hand, actually. ...Some even claim he had something to do with the Forbidden Portal.
-can be formal to the point that those unfamiliar with him may think he's mocking them. (sometime he is)
-occasionally bows with a flourish like he would in the royal court

Ware ye, the tragedy of the Court Mage;
how blind obedience to his liege left none unscathed.
A threat darkened the kingdom,
this was dire and true.
Summoned from their research were the Court Mage and his few.
All threats must be quashed,
declared the King,
try everything and anything,
else our legacy be ash.
No rule went unbroken at a kingly command,
no cry for caution was heeded,
not in the quest to secure their land.
Distraught and defeated retreated the sage,
when they turned to methods forbidden since the turning of the age.
One by one did the Court Mage's peers wither and fail,
until he alone stood in support of his King's fatal tale.
No price, he did profess, he'd be unwilling to pay,
No sacrifice unworthy to clear his lord's way.
He realized not, that the cost would be not his to bear...
until far too many souls had been promised to fulfil payment divine.
Even the King was now gone, though his kin denied not an heir.
Of the Mage, the gods had claimed every member of his line.
Stricken and bereft and at last seeing clear,
to the end of both threats, the Court Mage himself did....
disappear.
